Concert Snare Drum

Concert Snare Drumming is defined by the treatment of Rolls and Embellishments. This section introduces some specific interpretive ideas, and then covers a range of techniques for Buzz rolls and sustain, as well as the specific treatment of Flams, Drags, and Ruffs.
Modern writing blends these concepts with Rudimental Drumming more freely, so this can be considered an historical perspective on music from the 19th and 20th century. This is default style for Concert Band and Orchestra music, as well as etude books from writers like Cirone and Delecluse.
